Immigration: The latest political Bait & Switch by Democrats!

Confusing DACA and Illegal Immigration: The latest political Bait & Switch by Democrats who can’t seem to bring themselves to be on the same side as their Traditional Democratic Party members that still believe in President Trump’s making America great again, but instead succumbing to the Progressive Branch of the Democratic Party that wants to abandon and eliminate all and any sign of our countries 245 years of our founding father’s Constitutional Republic’s Constitution and ‘Rule of Law!’

What most Americans don’t understand is that if you’re listening to the Mainstream Media there’s a slight chance you might actually believe in what their saying about Democrats not being the ones to blame for what’s going on with immigration in America today, and that President Trump is the one to blame, really!

I think if you look back on the long 8 years of Obama’s Progressive attitude towards the changes in America he talked about back in 2008, and considered one of his major promises that he didn’t elaborate on or relay his definition of what his version of change was, but nobody really knew that his definition of change was actually a Socialist change, and moving America away from our founding father’s Constitutional Republic to Karl Marx who believed that capitalism would be replaced by socialism which in turn would bring upon communism. Obama’s education and beliefs came from Hillary’s mentor Saul Alinsky, and his disciples, Cloward and Piven who picked up the baton and passed it on to Obama when he attended Columbia University and got his degree in Political Science!

‘I’m getting tired of Democrats calling illegal immigrants just immigrants without including the reality of their true status, and by doing that discrediting and trashing the illegal immigrants that have taken the legal path to citizenship as prescribed by the laws of the land! I have to believe that if these illegals looking to legally becoming citizens of the United States, they would be saying what I’ve been saying for the last couple of months, and that’s they know that the vision for the future of America under the Democratic Party would be a vision of Socialism for America, and exactly the same Socialism reality that caused them to leave their homeland to come to America in the first place!

I find it amazing that when the Democrats came into power back in 2008 they had the majority in the House, and the super majority in the Senate with 60 seats, and the White House, which they did absolutely nothing for 2 years to fast track and fix their campaign promise of taking care of the illegal immigrant dilemma! Now take into account that Obama said he couldn’t unconstitutionally take it upon himself to write such a Unconstitutional Executive Order without congressional approval to allow illegal immigrants and refugees to walk across the border unimpeded, but then wrote the unconstitutional executive order, and told the Border Patrol to stand down and not enforce the immigration laws that were already in place to protect and defend our sovereignty!  ~~~

It is a classic bait and switch scheme being perpetrated on the American people. Our government has stopped talking just about protecting the DREAMER’s, defined as persons who were brought to the U.S., illegally, by their parents. Now Democrats are pushing for total amnesty for nearly 1.8 to 3.6 million illegal immigrants including those 800,000 persons that have DACA status.

The DACA Dreamer – Illegal Immigrant Bait and Switch

President Barack Obama created the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) policy to protect young migrant people from deportation, allowing them to pursue educations and work legally. The Obama administration created the DACA program in 2012 as a stopgap to deportation as Congress unsuccessfully sought a broader immigration overhaul.

Colloquially known as DREAMER’s, these immigrants came to the US, illegally, as children.  Under DACA, of the 1.9 million identified DREAMER’s, 800,000 have applied for and received DACA status. That process includes going through a background check to certify that they have no serious or felony crimes in their backgrounds.

Those 800,000 immigrants, who were brought to the US illegally as children, have been receiving renewable, two-year work permits under DACA. Those permits protect them from deportation, allowing them to work and go to school in the U.S.

Prior to this policy, DREAMER’s in America worked illegally and lived under threat of deportation to home countries they barely knew.

DACA and immigration under the Trump agenda

Today those kids range in age from teens to persons who are in college, have graduated from high school or college before going on to hold jobs, marry, and have kids of their own.

Very few Americans are against DREAMERS staying in the only country they have known. That is the bait. The switch is that Democrats are fighting to allow an additional 3.6 million persons, more than THIRD of all the 11 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S. (Migration Policy Institute) to stay.

It is important when identifying DACA recipients to use the keyword purposeful.  DREAMER’s are victims of their parents’ choice.  They did not come to the U.S. and purposefully violate our laws.

Defining this issue further, USA Today writes in their article “There are 3.6 Million ‘DREAMER’s  — a number far greater than commonly known” ~~by Alan Gomez (January 18, 2018):

The political debate over the fate of “DREAMER’s” — undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children — has overlooked just how many there are in the country today: about 3.6 million.

That number of people whose lives risk being uprooted is not widely known, in large part because so much public attention has been focused recently on 800,000 mostly young DREAMER’s accepted into the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program …

While many politicians use DREAMer and DACA interchangeably, the terms are “not a distinction without a difference,” said House Minority Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer, D-Md.

Illegal Immigrants are lawbreakers

The other 10 million plus illegal immigrants in this country are lawbreakers.

Immigration is an issue because then President Obama chose an Executive Action versus demanding Congress do their job to enact a permanent solution.  Obama’s domestic policy director, Cecilia Muñoz, has said the decision to protect a limited number of DREAMER’s is because an executive action can only go so far.

With Congress finally tackling illegal immigration of persons coming mostly from Mexico, Democrats want the DREAMER’s number to more than quadruple from 800,000 to 3.6 million.

“The right policy is to be as generous as possible,” Muñoz said at the time. “We know the success of DACA. It’s good for the country, and this has overwhelming support around the country from people on both sides of the aisle. There’s no reason to limit who is eligible.”

An analysis by the Migration Policy Institute says:

◾The most generous proposal is the American Hope Act by Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., which provides legal status to 3.5 million DREAMER’s excluding a small group who pose public safety threats.

◾Another plan known as the DREAM Act presented to Trump by a bipartisan group of senators would allow 2.1 million to stay in the country.

“There is support across the country for allowing Dreamers — who have records of achievement — to stay, work, and reach their full potential,” Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said. “We should not squander these young people’s talents and penalize our own nation.”

The Democrats irrational spin on illegal immigration

The Bait: DACA Recipients

The Migration Policy Institute says that in 2016 there were about 1.9 million people eligible for, or registered as, a DACA recipient. Of that 1.9 million, approximately 800,000 have had their DACA status approved, according to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

In order to apply for DACA, the immigrant must have been younger than 31 on June 15, 2012. They had to come to the U.S. prior to their 16th Birthday, and they must have lived continuously in the U.S. since June 15, 2007.  These guides do not offer any suggestion on how to categorize children brought to the U.S. over the porous borders under President Obama.

According to the Center for American Progress that surveyed 3,000 DACA recipients, 9/10ths of those responding have jobs paying an average hourly wage of $17.46 and with 72% of those responding either having or working on completing some form of higher education.

Therefore, the bait is that DACA immigrants morally deserve to be given special status. They are here through no fault of their own. They are contributing and will continue to contribute to America. That should give some type of protected status that allows them to get in line to apply for citizenship.

But that number of persons should be no more than about 800,000 persons, already registered and accepted.  And most Americans can agree that not only can America absorb that group, we should. The question now is whether President Trump should broaden the Obama Administration’s identification of DREAMERS from 800,000 to 3.6 million, or more.

The Switch: Illegal Immigrants

The switch is that Democrats want total amnesty for between 1.9 million and 3.6 million individuals.  Of those individuals only 800,000 have undergone vetting. Democrats also want the continuation of Chain Migration.

Chain Migration has caused legal immigration in the U.S. to quadruple from about 250,000 per year in the 1950’s and 1960’s to more than 1 million annually since 1990.   If 3.6 million persons where given Amnesty Status, becoming U.S. Citizens and chain migration continues, it could mean the addition of:

◾1st Preference: Unmarried sons/daughters of U.S. citizens and their children (capped at 23,400/year)

◾2nd Preference: Spouses, children, and unmarried sons/daughters of green card holders (capped at 114,000/year)

◾3rd Preference: Married sons/daughters of U.S. citizens and their spouses and children (capped at 23,400/year)

◾4th Preference: Brothers/sisters of U.S. citizens (at least 21 years of age) and their spouses and children (capped at (65,000/year)

What Americans, and President Trump and Congress, need to be aware of is that by reaching a compromise to allow 1.9 million people that applied as DACA recipients to begin a path to citizenship, what about the other 3.6 to nine million illegal immigrants that are in the U.S.

President Obama’s amnesty loophole makes the illegal legal

Give someone an inch, and they will take a mile.

Only California (38 million in 2013), Texas (27 million), New York (20 million), Florida Illinois and Pennsylvania (13 million each) had more than 11 million residents in 2013.

According to the Legislative Analyst’s Office (January 2017), Federal Expenditures, taxpayer dollars, to the State of California equaled around $376 million, or $9,700 per person.

Therefore, as a group, we can assume that 11 million new Americans, some with college degrees, others on social service programs, will cost on average, $9,700 per person, or seven billion, seven hundred and sixty million dollars per year.

What does America do when Democrats want to switch to replace 800,000 persons with 1.9 million, 3.6 million and then, eventually, an additional nine million persons?

And when those millions of people are suddenly welcome in the U.S., will they suddenly assimilate into American culture.  It was once the rule that when you came to America, you learned the language, embraced the culture, without forgetting your heritage, and started working toward the idea of the American Dream.

Unfortunately, purveyors of identity politics, overly-apologetic intellectual elites and a media that denigrates America and Americans core principles demand that before we open our doors, we get our house in order.  It is imperative that all Americans find a way to work forward with respect, that DREAMERS find a way to work forward with respect and that all work to restore the core values that make America a country held to an ideal by all other.

Democrats crocodile tears

Democrats have been vocal opponents to illegal immigration. Peter Beinart writes in an August 2017 article How the Democrats Lost Their Way on Immigration:

In 2005, a left-leaning blogger wrote,

“Illegal immigration wreaks havoc economically, socially, and culturally; makes a mockery of the rule of law; and is disgraceful just on basic fairness grounds alone.” In 2006, a liberal columnist wrote that “immigration reduces the wages of domestic workers who compete with immigrants” and that “the fiscal burden of low-wage immigrants is also pretty clear.” His conclusion: “We’ll need to reduce the inflow of low-skill immigrants.” That same year, a Democratic senator wrote, “When I see Mexican flags waved at pro-immigration demonstrations, I sometimes feel a flush of patriotic resentment. When I’m forced to use a translator to communicate with the guy fixing my car, I feel a certain frustration.”

The blogger was Glenn Greenwald. The columnist was Paul Krugman. The senator was Barack Obama.”

So why the switch?

The answer is so simple. Democrats must increase Latino votes if they are ever going to regain the White House. Black voters are becoming more and more aware that a sudden influx of Brown citizens will be bad for Blacks.

The pain is already being felt in Los Angeles. In her article Black America’s chains forged of political largesse favoring Brown illegals, writer Shirley Husar says:

“Under Obama, our first-generation Black president gave the DACA Dreamers new life and power over Americans, particularly Black America. Using the legacy of Martin Luther King and other leaders, Brown is riding atop the pain of the indigenous Black slave’s history of suffrage, liberal progressives have taken the civil rights movement hostage, merging it with the demands of DACA, refugees and illegal immigrants.

Brown is hired over Black. Inner city Blacks are stepped over on the ladder to success.”

Who is giving what?

In his remarks today, President Trump told reporters that he needs a bi-partisan effort to solve DACA indicating that he is going to have to give to get. What does he want? An end to the Visa Lottery Program, funding for the wall and increased border security and, while not mentioned today, American’s should hope for the end to chain migration.

However, Americans better be ready for the President giving on chain migration, which Democrats will demand in order to be able to keep a steadily increasing Democrat voting base.

The President knows he, and Americans, can’t have everything.  He wants the wall and border security in order to keep illegal immigrants out of the country in the first place and to stop them from returning if we send back to whence they came.

And so we don’t find ourselves right back where we started. Which is here.

But will the Trump base revolt if, in fact, DACA expands to include first 3.6 million that includes DREAMERS and illegal immigrants to upwards of 11 million illegal immigrants that will include the good, the bad and the plain ugly?

I don’t think so. And won’t the Democrats in the White House enjoy tearing down that wall in 2024?

They have to get there first. ~~~~
